Take a deep breath of the health-giving alpine air. Let us spoil you with our excellent cuisine. And relax and enjoy our cozy rooms. Our lodgings at the Hotel Zum Löwen-Post are divided between two adjoining buildings: The main building of the “Gasthof zum Löwen,” and the adjacent “Gasthof zur Post.” Both buildings blend seamlessly into our village’s overall historical scenery, and were lovingly renovated in recent years. Simply decorated rooms in warm colors create a cozy atmosphere where you can relax and unwind.
Each room has its special features, and affords a view either of the majestic Trudner Horn / Monte Corno or of the 600-year-old linden tree and the St. Blasius parish church in Truden / Trodena!
We have over 20 rooms of different sizes, each with its own bathroom and balcony.
All of our rooms are furnished with a double-bed and sitting arrangement;
TV, room safe, and hot-air blower. In each room, you’ll find a backpack, hiking poles, and an information folder. Please read the hiking suggestions you’ll find in the personalized Löwen-Post backpack!
It is a real pleasure to return from a day of hiking and long walks to a spacious room. But even if it’s a rainy day in Truden (which is seldom the case!), there are plenty of distractions. You’ll find lots of novels, factual books, and cook books in our library! Please ask at the Front Desk for up-to-date information about scheduled events, leisure-time activities, etc.!

We have made the deliberate choice to offer you a breakfast buffet full of authentic and high-quality products providing you with a healthy balance of nutrients. After all, you’ll want to have a hearty breakfast before embarking on your day of adventures here in the mountains! And you are welcome to pack yourself a little snack to take with you on your adventures, too!
Gourmet dinner with our half-board arrangement
In the evening, Rosa will prepare you a hearty and wholesome salad buffet and 4-course gourmet meal combining alpine traditions and Mediterranean cuisine. We use fresh and carefully selected ingredients in all of our dishes, and make generous use (depending upon the season) of the herbs and other delicacies from our own garden.
In the afternoon, we offer our guests homemade strudel, pies, and cakes… You can stretch out on our sundrenched terrace and enjoy a bit of “dolce vita” while you admire the stunning view of the imposing Trudner Horn / Monte Corno and the Cisloner. Or maybe you would prefer enjoying the sunset with an aperitif or a cool glass of champagne… (not included in the half-board arrangement!)?

We ask that you please understand that no animals are allowed on the premises.
We would be happy to accommodate any special room requests you might have – but we can’t guarantee you any particular room number.
Your room will be available for you starting at 2:00 p.m. on the day of your scheduled arrival. If you think that you might arrive at 6:00 p.m. or later, please notify us in advance by phone. On the day of your departure, please vacate your room by 10:00 a.m.!
